As synonymous with luxury, the name of Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab is a veritable testament to the fact that you can achieve everything as long as you have a vision. He began his career as a fashion designer in Lebanon in 1982, designing various elegant dresses by himself. He was favored by first-line stars such as Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Holly Berry, Nancy Ajileim, making him one of the most coveted designers in the high-end fashion industry and the most influential fashion representative in the Middle East.
Elie Saab also made its first move into the interior design field in 2019, announcing a partnership with real estate developer Emaar to launch Elie Saab’s own branded home in Dubai Emaar Beachfront. In 2020, he launched his first home furniture collection at the Milan International Furniture Fair, and soon after he announced in November 2021 that he would bring the exquisite marble tastes of its sanitary brand Elie Saab Bathroom and stone company Surfaces Collection to all over the world, dedicated to creating a high-end home accommodation environment.
It seems to be a natural development to extend the tentacles from designing private residences to luxury resorts. In January 2025, Elie Saab announced that it would create a luxury hotel “Samana Ocean Views” on Maldives Island. With 190 rooms and a building area of up to 47,100 square meters, this luxurious resort features beach villas, water villas, apartment-style accommodation, spa center, and multiple restaurant options, all full of Elie Saab’s personal sophisticated design taste.
As the saying goes, if you can own a career yourself, why do you still have to lend a name to others for use? What excites all fashion fans and hotel fans is that Elie Saab recently announced that its new Swiss luxury hotel “Post Hotel & Residences” designed by it is expected to be completed in 2027, which is also the brand's first hotel plan. To this end, they took over the historic wooden house “Hotel 3 Könige Und Post”, which is located in the small town of Andermatt in the Swiss Alps, dating back to 1788. It is understood that the hotel will be entirely built by Elie Saab in collaboration with A++ Group Architecture Studio and UAE developer Mira Developments, and the A++ Group Architecture Studio will supervise the construction of the centuries-old hotel.
