The last time El Salvador played a friendly at home was in July 2024. On that occasion, Salvadorans twice defeated Peru (3-1 and 3-0).

The president of the National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES), Yamil Bukele, commented that the Salvadoran women's football team will have friendly, after the conclusion of the sanction to DT Eric Acuña with the U-17.

It is worth mentioning that El Salvador does not participate in the FIFA date that began a few days ago.

“We have talked to the regularization commission of Salvadoran Football Federation. We as Indes have been supporting the women's team in several fogueos. When they went to Ecuador, if I'm not mistaken, and when the selection of Peru came. We have paid for that lately. We have several girls in the effort and glory program. They also receive a stimulus,” Bikele said.

“I talked to Professor Acuña twice. The issue of FIFA dates was touched, but I am respectful of the processes. I told him Professor Acuña 'You are in a process. Get out of that situation because the selection without the main coach is a bit complicated.' We want and we will continue to support the women's team,” he added.

“In fact, it is not the time to comment, but there are already several agreements with selections, with professional teams and with countries that can come and we can go. Professor Acuña has a plan. We want to support it. He has to get out of that sanction and that commitment, but we go from Indes to support them and we want to do it,” the sports leader closed.
