This money would be mainly for the maintenance of its current field, “The Dripping Pan”, with capacity for 3,000 spectators.
“We have to be honest about the difficulties we face, especially during the holiday period, when there are no games that can generate money, but during which there is a lot of work to do,” the club said in a statement.
The Male Lewes FC came to play in the National League, the fifth division of English football, but, after a couple of descents, at the moment it is located in the Isthmian League, the seventh category.
The Women's Club, which has been characterized by being the most successful and that merged with the masculine in 2014, was until two seasons in the Second Women's Division. However, it descended last year and this has not been able to rise again, which has increased the economic problems of the club.
Among the options that the Lewes offers its fans to help is to become a shareholder, buy a seasonal fertilizer, be a clus sponsor or make a donation.
