Lisandro Magallán is already a Vélez player. The 31 -year -old defender, with Boca, returns to Argentine football after six years outside, after passing through European clubs such as Ajax, Alavés, Crotone and Anderlecht. He also played in Mexico, in Pumas UNAM, where he played 70 games, scored a goal and gave an assistance.
Now arrives free – from Pumas – and with a contract until December 2027. It was a request from Guillermo Barros Schelotto and adds immediately to the preseason in the Olympic Village.
“I am already in the Olympic Village. A hug and we are going forward”Said Licha in the welcome video shared by the Club for the entire Fortinero people.
Before his stage abroad, in Argentina he had defended the colors of Gymnastics, Boca, Rosario Central and Defense and Justice.
The relationship with Guillermo
He knows him well. They shared costumes in La Plata Gymnastics, when Guillermo was already in his final stage as a footballer, and later in Boca, with the Melli directing Xeneize. “With him I have a strong bond, I was his partner in Gymnastics, we are from the city, and what we have lived in Boca together … I would like to return to Argentina for life issues, I want to prioritize this decision to play in Argentine football”the defender had said a few weeks ago.
The second reinforcement is close
The first was already formalized but the second is just around the corner: Diego Valdés. The Chilean midfielder will arrive as free after passing through Mexico America. He has everything agreed to sign contract until December 31, 2027. He comes with good numbers: in the Mexican club he played 140 games, scored 38 goals and gave 31 assists.
The Pol Fernández's pass fell
An unexpected turn in the negotiations, discharged the arrival of Pol Fernández to the liniers team. Everything seemed to be aimed so that the 33 -year -old midfielder would wear Vélez's shirt: he came from terminating his contract with strength, where he did not have a good step, and the return to Argentine football seemed a matter of time. Even the twins himself had called him and publicly expressed his intention to add it to the team.
But in the last hours everything crumbled. The versions that began to circulate are several: one points to contractual differences and another, even more striking, speaks of personal reasons -an intermediary that would have had conflicts with the player's representative and ended up going down the operation. Thus, when it seemed done, the pass was nothing.
