Met Gala 2025 Best outfit highlights at once! Those unforgettable fashion moments on the red carpet
Met Gala 2025 has come to a successful conclusion, and the red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of New York once again witnessed a feast of dialogue between high-end fashion and culture. Although the look was numerous that night, several of the celebrities stood out with their precise interpretation of the theme and impeccable styling and became the well-deserved best dressing representative.
This year's exhibition theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, and the red carpet dress code is set to “Tailored for You”. All the stars use “tailoring” as their core inspiration to redefine suit vocabulary through different forms – and the four co-chairs are naturally on the list: A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo and Lewis Hamilton, each performing their own personal styles, injecting contemporary context into male tailoring.
A$AP Rocky wore a double-breasted technical wool blazer designed by his own brand AWGE, inspired by the Marmot hiking jacket he saw when he grew up in Harlem. “Marmot is a symbol of Harlem,” he told Vogue during his final try-on. “That was our teenage uniform.”
On the red carpet that night, from short suits (Louis Vuitton’s Doechii!), sleeveless vests, classic tuxedo to multi-layer suit styles, it officially announced that “a suit is not just a suit”, it is an extension of identity, culture and attitude.
And the women's style is not inferior at all. Anne Hathaway wore a Carolina Herrera shirt and court skirt dress to pay tribute to the late fashion giant André Leon Talley; Cynthia Erivo chose to wear Givenchy's shining jacket with a tufted skirt to exude the queen's aura; Diana Ross was also in a custom-made design of Ugo Mozie, wearing a 18-foot tailoring dress with the hem of his children and grandchildren embroidered on the hem, putting his personal story into the history of the red carpet.
