Every year, the first Monday in May always brings a fashion storm, and the 2025 Met Gala Metropolitan Museum of Art Charity Dinner pays tribute to the Black Dandy style with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, which is particularly exciting. After months of attention, from the attendance list to the outfit predictions, the grand event was finally announced. This grand event was grandly made at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and it really lived up to expectations.
This year's co-chairmen Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams all wore custom-made clothes, perfectly interpreting Dandy's style and hosting a star-studded night. Celebrities such as Spike Lee, Diana Ross, André 3000 and Halle Berry all appeared on the red carpet to add dazzling glory to the dinner.
The dinner venue is located in the Metropolitan Museum. Artist Cy Gavin is inspired by daffodils. The flower image not only becomes the main axis of the central installation of the venue, but is also projected onto the ceiling of the Temple of Dendur to add a poetic atmosphere to the dinner.
Scene designer Derek McLane reinterpreted the painting as a central installation, consisting of more than 7,000 hanging flowers and was personally coordinated by event planner Raúl Àvila. Speaking of this year's design, Àvila: “This design is absolutely wonderful.”
